Google updated backlinks

I have just checked my backlinks and I see a change in the number of backlinks today. It seems that Google has updated the backlinks today. I was just checking the backlinks to my blogs and I came to know about this update. There might be a PR update soon. I think this update is a Spring Gift of Google to all webmasters. You can just check your backlinks by typing link:www.yourdomain.com . If you see no change then the update on your site/blog might be happening in sometime from now. I have seen some domains backlinks have been updated while the rest of the update is going on.
